Extended Services

The Benthal School Breakfast Club is open from Monday to Friday 8.00-9.00am. This club offers the children the opportunity to start the day in a positive and healthy way, beginning with a healthy breakfast. Children will be able to chat with their friends, make new ones and take part in a range of early morning activities such as table tennis, giant floor games, a reading table and craft work and puzzles. The cost is £2.50 per day which should be paid 1 week in advance and there are currently spaces available, please enquire in the school office.

The school is also involved with the ‘Magic Breakfast’ national initiative which makes sure that no child starts the school day hungry. We provide warm bagels with a selection of fillings to all year groups on a daily basis. We also supplement this with smoothies made with fresh fruit and vegetables. We also distribute breakfast food bundles for vulnerable families and these are offered out on a regular basis across each half term.

Benthal Play Centre runs from the end of the school day at 3.30pm till 6:00pm. It offers a range of indoor and outdoor activities supervised by qualified playworkers. All children are collected from their classes and are given a hot meal before they play. Playcentre costs £13.50 per session and £8.50 for pupils, entitled to free school meals. These fees should be paid one week in advance.
