Trips

We organize a wide range of trips within the local area as well as in the borough of Hackney and further abroad. Each trip is linked to the curriculum as well as pupil’s social needs. All trips are risk assessed and extensive planning is done to provide for pupils with a range of needs. We also ensure that legal requirements for adult pupil ratios are always met. As well as for topic work, we also organize trips where our pupils participate in competitions such as the annual swimming gala, chess championships and borough cycling event.

The school is part of the ‘Skills Builder’ program and year 6 pupils visit a national company where they have the opportunity to use their enterprise skills through participation in special challenge day projects.

We also have annual trips for pupils in upper Key Stage 2; Year 4 pupils attend a 3 day residential at Kench Hill Centre in Kent, Year 6 pupils attend a 3 day trip to Cuffley an Active Learning Centre in Hertfordshire and Year 5 visit our partner school during a 5 day trip to Madrid in Spain. Here, they have the chance to engage with the Spanish culture, school system and practice their Spanish!
